Barksdale strives to offer best in class pressure transducers with unparalleled performance
and quality at competitive lead times. To that end, Barksdale has invested significant
operational capacity into the BiT product lines which offer modular design options on the
outputs, pressure ranges, pressure connectors and electrical connectors. In addition, the BiT
transducers utilize advanced digital electronics to reduce the effects of EMI/EMC according to
IEC 61000 standards and provide excellent long term stability and thermally compensated
sensors to high accuracy over wide temperature ranges to mitigate thermal errors on sensitive
components.

The BiT 450E features dual certification to Intrinsic Safety and Non-Incendive Protection in
North America with approvals to be used in Class I Div 1 & 2 Groups A,B,C,D and Class II Div
1 & 2 Groups E,F,G.

As a result, Barksdale is obsoleting legacy product lines to continue to better serve the
industry expectations with our BiT products. A summary of changes by product family is below

• 433,435,436 – Transitioned to and equivalent options available on BiT 450E. Please refer to
attached crossover sheet.
• 443,445,446 – Transitioned to and equivalent options available on BiT 450E. Please refer to
attached crossover sheet.

These changes go into effect Feb 1, 2025. All orders placed before Feb 1, 2025 will be
fulfilled.

To help with a seamless transition, the Barksdale technical support team is available to cross the existing 430 and 440 series to the equivalent BiT 450E part number.
